# Cookie Policy

**Last updated:** 15 October 2026

## 1. Overview

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used when you visit
[nourishingr.net](https://www.nourishingr.net), why we use them, and what choices
you have. It applies to all pages of this website.

Nourish Ingredients operates a business-to-business catalogue of botanical extracts and
nutraceutical ingredients. We do not operate advertising networks, and we do not sell your
personal data to them.

## 2. Who we are

**Nourish Ingredients** ("we", "our", "us")

Website: [nourishingr.net](https://www.nourishingr.net)

Contact email: [ashely@nourishingr.com](mailto:ashely@nourishingr.com)

Registered address: Room 612, Chengguang Building, 253 Yuanda Road, Huoxing Street,
Furong District, Changsha, Hunan Province, China

We act as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

## 3. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are
widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to recognise a returning
visitor.

Related technologies that work in the same way include local storage, session storage,
and pixels. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we mean all of these.

## 4. What we use, and why

### 4.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the website to function or to protect it from abuse. They cannot
be switched off through our consent interface, and in most jurisdictions they do not require
consent.

| Name | Provided by | Purpose | Set for |
| ---- | ----------- | ------- | ------- |
| wordpress_logged_in_*
wp-settings-* | WordPress | Administrator login and interface preferences | Administrators only. Not set for ordinary visitors. |

Verified on 15 October 2026 by inspecting the cookies set on a clean, logged-out browser
session. No other cookies are set for visitors who browse without submitting a form. If you
submit an inquiry form, the anti-spam plugin used by the site may set its own cookies at
that moment.

### 4.2 Analytics

We use **Google Analytics 4** to understand how the site is used — which pages
are visited, which products get attention, and where visitors arrive from. This is standard
practice for any business website and it is how we decide what to improve.

**Analytics cookies and your choices**

We currently set Google Analytics to run in its default mode: analytics cookies are
written as soon as a page loads. We are assessing whether to introduce a consent mechanism
for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and will
update this page before making any change.

In the meantime, you can prevent analytics measurement in three ways:

- **Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on** — available for Chrome,
Firefox, Edge and Safari from
[tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
It blocks Google Analytics measurement on supported sites.
- **Your browser settings** — block or delete cookies for this site.
- **Ad blocking or privacy extensions** — most block Google Analytics
request patterns by default.

Note that blocking these cookies does not stop us receiving aggregate page-view counts in
Google Analytics; it stops Google from storing identifiers on your device. Our own records
of what we collect about form submissions are described in Section 5 and are unaffected by
your cookie settings.

| Name | Provided by | What is collected | Duration |
| ---- | ----------- | ----------------- | -------- |
| _ga | Google LLC | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate counting | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_WZZ3CGZ7XD | Google LLC | Session and campaign attribution for our specific analytics property | Up to 2 years |

Both are set as soon as the page loads. They are stored on the
`.nourishingr.net` domain and shared with `www.nourishingr.net`.

Data collected includes: pages viewed, the page you arrived from, approximate country and
city, device type and browser, and your IP address (which Google truncates before storage).

Google's data processing terms are at
[business.safety.google](https://business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms/).

### 4.3 What we deliberately do NOT use

We do not intentionally deploy the following advertising and visitor-tracking technologies
on this website:

- **No advertising or retargeting pixels** — no Google Ads, Meta/Facebook,
LinkedIn, or TikTok advertising tags
- **No social media tracking pixels**
- **No session recording or heatmaps**
- **No third-party chat widgets** that follow visitors between sites
- **No cross-site behavioural profiling**
- **No data brokers, lead-generation marketplaces, or advertising exchanges**

If we add any of these in future, this page will be updated and, where the law requires it,
we will ask for your consent first.

## 5. Inquiry forms and other information you send us

This section is about data rather than cookies, but it is part of the same picture.

### 5.1 What we collect

When you submit an inquiry form on this website, we collect the fields you filled in —
typically your name, email address, company, country, the product and quantity you are
interested in, and your message. We also record the page you submitted from, the date and
time, and your IP address. The IP address is recorded for spam prevention and abuse
investigation.

### 5.2 Where that data goes

- **Our own systems** — stored in our website database so that we can respond
to you and keep a record of past conversations.
- **Web3Forms** (web3forms.com) — a form-to-email delivery service that
forwards your inquiry to our team inbox. Its privacy terms are at
[web3forms.com/privacy](https://web3forms.com/privacy).

### 5.3 Why we process it, and on what legal basis

We rely on two separate legal bases for two separate purposes:

| Purpose | Legal basis | Explanation |
| ------- | ----------- | ----------- |
| **Responding to your inquiry** | Pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | You contacted us with a business question. We cannot answer it without your contact details. This basis covers taking the steps you asked for before any contract exists. |
| **Keeping a record of past correspondence** | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | We retain a limited record so that if you contact us again we have the history, and so we can demonstrate how a specification was previously discussed. We have assessed that this does not override your interests. You can object at any time. |
| **Preventing form spam** | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | Protecting our inbox and our site from automated abuse. |

### 5.4 How long we keep it

Inquiry records are kept for up to **36 months** from the last contact, then
deleted. If a business relationship begins, records are kept for the duration of the
relationship plus the same period.

Deletion covers our WordPress database and our team mailbox. It may not be able to remove
copies from routine email backups or from our form delivery provider's own retention, which
we do not control.

## 6. International data processing

Nourish Ingredients is based in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. Personal data submitted
through our inquiry forms is processed by us to respond to business inquiries and manage
related correspondence.

Our website hosting and our form-delivery service may involve providers that process data
in other countries. We use Google Analytics 4 for website measurement and Web3Forms to forward
inquiry submissions to our team. The countries in which these providers process data, and the
contractual arrangements between us and them, are set out in their respective terms and are
available on request.

For information about the arrangements applying to a particular processing activity,
contact us at [ashely@nourishingr.com](mailto:ashely@nourishingr.com) and we will
provide it.

Where information is collected from visitors in mainland China, we handle it in accordance
with the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) of the PRC.

## 7. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you may have the following rights,
depending on the processing activity and the legal conditions that apply:

- **Access** — ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy
- **Rectification** — have inaccurate data corrected
- **Erasure** — have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- **Restriction** — limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved
- **Portability** — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- **Object** — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- **Withdraw consent** — where a consent mechanism is in place, change your
mind about analytics at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing that
already happened. See Section 4.2 for current options.

**How to exercise these rights:** email
[ashely@nourishingr.com](mailto:ashely@nourishingr.com). We handle requests
within the period the applicable law allows, normally 30 days, and will tell you if a longer
period is legally permitted and why.

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
A directory of EU authorities is at
[edpb.europa.eu](https://www.edpb.europa.eu/edpb_members/edpb_members_en).
If you are in the UK, the ICO is at [ico.org.uk](https://ico.org.uk).
If you are in Switzerland, the FDPIC is at [edoeb.admin.ch](https://www.edoeb.admin.ch).

## 8. How to control cookies

**Analytics cookies:** the three methods listed in Section 4.2 — the Google
Analytics Opt-out add-on, your browser settings, or an ad-blocking extension.

**Necessary cookies:** all major browsers let you block or delete cookies per
site. Note that blocking the WordPress admin cookies will stop you logging in to this site,
and blocking the anti-spam cookie may affect the inquiry form.

**Google Analytics opt-out:** the
[Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits to supported sites, subject to the
add-on's current functionality.

## 9. Children

This website is a business-to-business catalogue. It is not directed at children, and we
do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

## 10. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top always
reflects the current version. Where a change requires notice or consent, we will obtain that
before the new practice takes effect.

## 11. Contact
